The Philippines is consistently ranked the most gender-equal country in Asia, Filipino women have relatively equal access to opportunities as men in the labor force, political participation and high levels of education. But if the Philippines is so gender equal, then why are misogynistic statements and actions still so pervasive.. particularly from the country’s President?
