Sumo wrestler Tamawashi Ichiro is known as sumo’s “Iron Man” because he has not missed a day of a tournament since his professional sumo debut. This is a very rare feat in sumo due to the frequent occurrence of injuries among sumo wrestlers. But not only has he achieved this amazing exhibition of endurance but he has also accomplished one of the highest prize in sumo – the emperor’s cup as top division champion in January 2019.
