Small PSA (Public Service Announcement). It seems that Zotac RTX 3090 GPUs are suffering from a fan problem, and I am apparently among the affected users 🙁
6 Months after purchasing these amazing RTX 3090 for video encoding, one of the fan is now making rubbing noise every single time it spin on… 🙁 At over 2000 USD the card, this is definitively not acceptable 🙁
To make the matter worse, I am apparently not the only one with this problem

The UK’s Greatest Art Forgers Reveal Their Secrets
Forgery is one of the greatest challenges the art world faces today, with fakes and misattributions estimated to be as high as 50% of all works in the market.
Before his arrest, Billy “The Brush” Mumford forged over 1000 pieces that made their way across the globe. His best friend David Henty had equally thrived selling his fakes on eBay, with one of his Picasso copies recently going up for auction at £1 million.
Sydney Lima meets the two convicted forgers as they work to create a knock-off piece of art that could be accepted as real. Then she takes the piece to a forensic lab to see whether they can tell it’s a fake.

China Is Floating Theories that COVID-19 Originated Elsewhere
It’s been more than a year since the World Health Organisation declared COVID-19 a pandemic, taking the lives of more than half a million people across the world.
On June 11 2020, Chinese health officials declared a new spread of coronavirus in Xinfadi Wholesale Food Market, after 57 days of being COVID-free. Chinese authorities claim that there is evidence to show that the coronavirus could be transmitted via food packaging. China has since implemented mandatory testing on all imported cold-chain foods, in an effort to prevent COVID-19 from entering the country.
But can the coronavirus live on frozen food imports?
The World Health Organisation believes that there is currently no evidence to support this. However, some experts believe that China is trying to divert the conversation by pushing the idea that the coronavirus originated elsewhere.
VICE World News speaks with Dale Fisher, a professor in Infectious Diseases at the National University of Singapore and Andrew Small, an expert in China politics at the German Marshall Fund, to find out more about the science and logic behind China’s claims.

Deadly Tiger Attacks Are on the Rise in This Indonesian Village
Residents of the protected Leuser National Park in Aceh struggle to keep Sumatran tigers away from their livestock and homes.
Once a rarity, these kinds of attacks are now on the rise in North Sumatra. Between 2019 and 2020, Sumatran tigers killed at least 20 cattle in this region alone. The attacks are also an economic strain on the region’s farmers, costing around $10,000 in lost cattle.
But there’s another, more concerning outcome of the rise in attacks—an environment of fear amongst those who call the forest borderlands their home.

Franks has over 50 quick-draw world records and 12 world championships. In the sport of fast draw, competitors attempt to be the quickest to shoot a target. They use wax bullets or black powder blanks to hit targets at various distances and of various sizes.
Franks rates the realism of quick-draw scenes in films such as “Django Unchained” (2012), “The Good the Bad and the Ugly” (1966), and “Westworld” (2016). She breaks down some of the differences between modern quick draws with semiautomatic guns, like in “Collateral” (2004) and “John Wick” (2014).
