[Cinematic] Kawaguchiko Cherry Blossoms – Yamanashi – 河口湖 – 4K Ultra HD
Kawaguchiko does not need any introduction. Part of the Fuji five lakes, it’s famous among both Japanese and foreign tourists resulting in hours of traffic jams for the chance to enjoy a view of Mt. Fuji over Kawaguchiko lake. While the area is beautiful all year long, it’s during autumn and spring that Kawaguchiko is at its finest. Today we would like to share a small experience with this “Cinematic” video shot entirely in 60fps handheld and slowed down to 30fps in order to give you a more immersive experience of the beauty of Kawaguchiko Cherry blossoms.
Note : Don’t be fooled by the lack of people on this video, the place was packed and I had to replace the audio track with some music in order to get something worth watching!

Kawaguchiko n’a plus besoin de présentation. Faisant partie des cinq lacs du Mont Fuji, ce lieu est la récompense des touristes japonais et étrangers de profiter d’une magnifique vue sur le Mont Fuji depuis le lac de Kawaguchiko, et après de longues heures de route. Alors que cet endroit est beau tout au long de l’année, nous l’apprécions davantage au printemps et en automne, et aujourd’hui, nous vous proposons d’expérimenter une vidéo “Cinématique” capturée en 60fps et ralentie à 30fps dans le but de vous offrir une sensation plus immersive de la beauté de Kawaguchiko et de ses cerisiers.
Note : ne vous laissez pas duper par le manque de foule, le lieu était saturé au point de devoir remplacer le son par un peu de musique pour que ce soit plus agréable à regarder !

The Cherry Blossoms of Ikegami Honmonji – Tokyo – 池上本門寺 – 4K Ultra HD
Erected where the Japanese Saint Nichiren supposedly died in 1282, Ikegami Honmon-ji has since been the administrative headquarters, as well as the training and living quarters, of the Nichiren Shu followers. It’s also a famous cherry blossom spot around the amazing temple and pagoda.
Located on top of a hill within Tokyo’s Ota ward, Ikegami Honmon-ji features many temples and other cultural attractions that are worth checking when visiting Tokyo. Among these attractions you will find the Statue of Saint Nichiren, the Choeido Temple, the grave and bust of Rikidozan, the father of Japanese professional wrestling during the Showa period, a magnificent five-storied pagoda built in 1608, the majestic Ikegami Honmon-ji main hall or Daibo and finally the Tahoto, a large two-story red pagoda located on the west side of the main temple.

Erigé à l’endroit même où le japonais Saint Nichiren est supposé mort en 1282, Ikegami Honmon-ji est depuis le centre administratif, ainsi que le terrain d’entraînement et de résidence, des suivants de Nichiren Shu. Il s’agit également d’un spot pour profiter des cerisiers tout proches du magnifique temple et de sa pagode.
Situé au sommet d’une colline du quartier d’Ota à Tokyo, Ikegami Honmon-ji propose beaucoup de temples et autres attractions culturelles qui valent le coup d’être visités quand vous vous rendez à Tokyo. Vous trouverez également la statue de Saint Nichiren, le temple Choeido, la gravure du buste de Rikidozan, père de la lutte professionnelle japonaise pendant l’ère Showa, une magnifique pagode de 5 étages construite en 1608, le majestueux hall principal d’Ikegami Honmon-ji, et enfin, le Tahoto, une grande pagode de deux étages située à l’ouest du temple principal.

The Cherry Blossoms of Chidorigafuchi by Night – Tokyo – 千鳥ヶ淵 – 4K Ultra HD
Located near the Imperial Palace and the Yasukuni Shrine, Chidorigafuchi is a national Japanese cemetery and memorial for approximately 350,000 unidentified war dead of the Second World War. Despite its gloomy background, Chidorigafuchi is, once a year during hanami, the cherry blossom season, one of Tokyo’s hottest places to enjoy the cherry blossoms either by walking along Chidorigafuchi’s moat or by boat if you are patient enough to wait for hours before being able to rent one. Fantastic by day, Chidorigafuchi’s moat cherry blossoms are also worth checking at night too!

The Cherry Blossoms of Chureito Pagoda – Yamanashi – 忠霊塔 – 4K Ultra HD
Located on the mountain top of Fujiyoshida City in Yamanashi prefecture, the Chureito Pagoda is part of the Arakusa Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963. It’s one of Japan’s most iconic views all year long.
This gorgeous five-story pagoda can be reached after climbing around 400 steps and, once there, it will give you one of the most breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. It would be hard to find a better view anywhere in the region, especially when it reaches its ‘beauty peak’ during the sakura (cherry blossom) season like on today’s video!
As for the Arakura Sengen Shrine, it is said that this holy place was erected in 705, and while relatively small its unique location and torii (gate) facing Mount Fuji are also something worth checking out when visiting Chureito Pagoda.

Située sur les hauteurs de la ville de Fujiyoshida dans la préfecture de Yamanashi, la pagode Chureito est un élément du sanctuaire d’Arakusa Sengen, et a été construite en 1963 en tant que mémorial de la paix et offrant une des plus belles vues panoramiques du Japon tout au long de l’année.
Cette magnifique pagode de cinq étages peut être atteinte après l’ascension de quelques 400 marches et vous offrira, à votre arrivée, une incroyable vue sur le Mont Fuji. Tout comme le sanctuaire d’Arakura Sengen, il est dit que cet endroit sacré fut érigée en 705, et bien qu’il soit petit, son emplacement unique et sa torii (porte) faisant face au Mont Fuji valent le détour lorsque vous visitez la pagode Chureito.
