Oyama Rice Terraces – Chiba – 大山千枚田 – 4K Ultra HD
Located in Kamogawa City in Chiba prefecture, Oyama is an hour and a half drive from the center of Tokyo. Oyama is the closest terraced rice field to Tokyo, and also the only one of its kind in Japan! Unlike other rice fields, the Oyama rice field grows rice with only rainwater and without any other means of irrigation.
Open all year long, the Oyama rice terraces are best enjoyed at sunrise around the middle of April. Also, note that the Oyama Rice Terraces feature a nice parking area with clean and modern restroom.

Life-Size Cakes Of Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To Celebrate The Royal Wedding
British baker Lara Mason baked life-size cakes of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to celebrate the royal wedding. She used over 300 eggs and 110 pounds of icing to replicate the couple. All in all, it took her about 250 hours to finish. The cakes are going on display at the Cake International competition, but then they can be sliced up and served to 500 people.

Odoriko no Sato Museum – Oshima Tokyo Island – 踊り子の里資料館 – 4K Ultra HD
Just a few minutes walk from Kyujinnomaru Tei, a traditional Japanese ryokan turned into an open museum (See the previous video), Odoriko no Sato is another free and open to all museum. It’s dedicated to Oshima Islands famous Odoriko or “Dancing girls”. The profession was popularly depicted in the past by the late Kawabata Yasunari, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature, in one of his most famous novels: The Dancing Girl of Izu or in Japanese: “伊豆の踊子 Izu no Odoriko”.
Active during the 1900s, this ryokan, now turned into a museum, gives you the chance to travel back in time and enjoy how such ryokan used to entertain people a hundred years ago!

A seulement quelques minutes à pied depuis Kyujinnomaru Tei, un Ryokan traditionnel transformé en musée (voir la vidéo précédente), Odoriko no Sato est encore un de ces musées ouvert à tous et gratuit, dédié cette fois à la célébrité d’Oshima ; Odoriko, ou “Les danseuses”. Profession majestueusement représentée par le passé par Kawabata Yasunari, qui remporte le prix Nobel de littérature avec l’un de ses romans les plus importants : Les danseuses d’Izu, ou en japonais : “伊豆の踊子 Izu no Odoriko”.

Walking around Jogasaki Coast – 城ヶ崎海岸 – 4K Ultra HD
